Section House Hut Trip

April 2002

The Section House is on top of Boreas Pass at an elevation of 11,488 ft. We had a little bit of trouble after getting used to the sun-drenched beaches of Hawaii in putting on large backpacks and hiking in snow for 6 miles at high altitude but the views were worth it. We spent a lot of time playing "Hand and Foot"(a card game) and stoking the wood stove to avoid having to go out in the cold.
